Starman's F9F-2 Panther 1:48 scale

Well i got my F9F Panther today along with a nice patch from Pete's..
This Panther was a little better then i thought it would be and i still don't like the wing folding area of the plane.
All in all it's not too bad looking and no one else is making 1:48 Panther anytime soon so this is why i picked one up.
Pappy's review was right on the money .....About the paint..I didn't try folding my wings because of what happened to his Panther
But the white paint in the landing gear area is a little flaky..Not sure how well HM prepped this bird before painting it..
The markings on this F9F are sharp looking too.
Here are the pictures.

Thanks for the pics, John. But, why oh why did HM give us those lovely white rings for instruments?

Lord of the Rings...it looks like. I think I will pass on the model unless it is in the Half Price or less bin or and then I might take a second look.

Re: Starman's F9F-2 Panther 1:48 scale

My F9F-2 Panther is due to come aboard on Friday from TFM. It'll be accompanied by the CT ANG A-10; a Bf -110G - II./ZG 76, both from HM and the CW A-7E Corsair, also from TFM. I'll try to get out decent pix, but since I'm still on the road I can't guarantee quality. Oh, happy days.

OK... Skunky has to... but I don't... 'cause it ain't.

And this one is somewhere in the ballpark of less than "nothing's perfect."

Hey HM... this one is a real let-down, and nothing to get excited over. Please bring on the next 1:48 scale model, please.
