I found this picture of the same type of canopy.Maybe the early F9F's canopy look like that.
You know a friend of mine came over who builds plastic models and he thought the Panther looks like
his Trumpeter 2832 Panther kit..He said the wing fold & gears looked the similar.
I don't have this kit so i don't know.

Not all models of the Panther have the canopy frame.

I can take umbrage, I can take the cake, I can take the A-Train, I can take two and call me in the morning, but I cannot take this sitting down. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to take five.

Re: Starman's F9F-2 Panther 1:48 scale

Has anyone here seen a photo of the actual aircraft that HM has modeled? There must be one for HM to have used for their rendition...

Elmer - we'll drag you into buying one soon enough! LOL It's a good model and anyone who says it's not is just trying to talk themselves out of spending 70 bucks! LOL

Hee Hee!

Well... I don't think so. But, that's OK. I am happy for all you boys who love this one. Enjoy it. That's what really matters.

Re: Starman's F9F-2 Panther 1:48 scale

I have been asked about where i got my patch from....The patch is a freebie from Pete's that he includes with this Panther model.
He also has done this with other models....That really is a cool idea too.
