Re: HM IAF Skyhawk

Very nice,... sux that it has no bombs.
Looks like we'll have to switch off with other models when bombs come out.

Not so fast, while it might look better with bombs instead of zunis, the current load out is historically accurate.

I've read quite a few accounts of the Soviet advisers serving with the Egyptian military during the War of Attrition in 1969 - 1970, and all of them mention the accuracy with which Israeli pilots were hitting armor using zuni rockets. One was especially impressed when he saw a column of destroyed APCs with very few craters around, just burnt out hulls. I've read similar accounts for the Syrian front of the Yom Kippur War as well.

So, I hope that HM will put out another IAF A-4 with bomb load this time.

Regards,

Sergey

Re: HM IAF Skyhawk

Thanks Pappy.. Your PICS are much more superior that what dealers show. I was just going to collect the US A-4's, but now the table is going to turn. Looks like time to place an order....

Thanks again for the time in the review/pics.

Great choice fly! Maybe they can do a similar single seater too, that way we'll have three!!!

Not only that, but a Valley Squadron A-4 flown by Ezra Dotan used a Zuni salvo (38 rockets!) to down a Syrian Mig-17. During this same engagement, Dotan downed another Mig-17 using his 30mm cannons. These are the only air-to-air kills for an IAF Skyhawk.

Killing threads since 2006.

Roger that! Israeli combat pilots are extremely adept and quite imaginative at taking advantage of using their weapons on hand on any sort of given situations!

They are that GOOD!
