Pre Production of Pre-War SBD

I just saw that Hawk has the pre-production photos of the Pre-War SBD. I was waiting to pull the trigger on the 1:32 birds (read: $$$) but this one may be hard to resist.

Re: Pre Production of Pre-War SBD

Fantastic look to it for a pre production model. I normally do not collect 1/32nd scale, but just may have to breakdown and get this one.

Re: Pre Production of Pre-War SBD

Wow... looks very, very sweet indeed. I had said "just one" and i'm down for the 1st release.... but I may have to go with two.

But that's it, for sure... not three -- no way... ah, who am I kidding.

Re: Pre Production of Pre-War SBD

I will probably be putting this one on pre order soon, but have to think of where the heck I am going to put it. Might have to put up some more shelves.

Re: Pre Production of Pre-War SBD

I am glad I held off till now. The pre-War SBD will look good with the Buffalo and the SNJ Texan - GUANTANAMO CUBA. Is ther decent pre-War Wildcat out there, BTW? Might as well have an entire shelf of pre-ar birds.

YES! Carousel's Pre-War Wildcat--Shields.

btw... I normally do not do this, but I placed my pre-order based on the pictures. I am taking no chance on this one selling out before it arrives on our shores (although I don't think it will).

Re: Pre Production of Pre-War SBD

I ordered the Wade McClusky SBD-3 Dauntless from Big Guns Collectibles about 2 months ago and I am patiently waiting for my 'masterpiece' to arrive.....

Looking forward to annoying the 'former' Florida Diecast Forum members!!

Re: Pre Production of Pre-War SBD

I had this on pre-order but cancelled it as I want to make sure that the QC is up to scratch on the production model (1st release should be a good indicator). If all is A-OK, I'll definitely order the second release as it looks really good and, if well finished and designed, will be a diecast success story for HM .
