Re: F6F Blue Angels

The one photo on the site with four lined up on the ramp does not appear to have anything underneath the wing.

Good catch...what's strange about that is, there are four Hellcats on the ramp. According to the information at the top of the site, the team only had three Hellcats. Maybe three that flew with a fourth as a spare?

The mystery deepens: The picture WITH the US NAVY markings was taken on June 14, 1946. The picture WITHOUT was taken on June 15, 1946??? Surely they didn't take the markings off over night?

As with any question concerning Naval Aviation, I hope HM checks with the National Museum of Naval Aviation in Pensacola prior to final release.

Re: F6F Blue Angels

Got this from the Jbot Decals site:

These Blue Angels decals are printed in gold, not yellow. There are no periods after the U and the S, and there is one large US NAVY under the wings.
I also provide the serial numbers of the 4 aircraft (in white and gold); however, they probably did not appear anywhere on the aircraft.

Would be nice but if I have to, I'll settle for the Easy Model versions.
Hope whoever does the Bearcat knows there are blue and yellow versions

Here is a yellow one...

I would like to see HM do all of the planes that the Blue Angels flew over the years.
For now we get the F6F Hellcat from HM and it's a start i hope.

Re: F6F Blue Angels

If the scale were the same for both aircraft, this would be a neat idea-
A Blue Angels "Butch Voris" two-pack with the Hellcat and Panther.
