Re: Pre-Pro Pictures Of HM's Third Bf 110

I for one would like HM to make Wolfgang "Wolf" Falck radarless Me 110Aces of the Luftwaffe - Wolfgang Falck as illustrated below. He is the acknowledged forerunner of the first Nightfighting Squadron commander for the early Me 110s unit. I just love the look of black painted Zerstorers!

This is nice, do it right and I might even buy one.

Re: Pre-Pro Pictures Of HM's Third Bf 110

I do believe you are correct on the Schräge Musik armament on the third Bf 110, and quite pleased I already have this one on pre-order. I hope the folks at Corgi jump start their production a bit.

I don't think those are schrage musik armaments on the bf110. The schrage musik armament should be pointing upward and forward. Those look like normal rear gunner armaments

Hope this points it out a bit better. You can see the two barrels that protrude through top of canopy. HMm is doing some really nice work,

I always thought that the shrage musik cannons were positioned aft of the main cockpit, not in it. However, after doing some research, it looks like you are correct. The cannon should slant slightly forward, which seems to be the case, although to only a mild degree. In the JU-88G and HE-219 such armaments were in fact located further back on the fuselage.

This gives a better view as to how it was setup.

Re: Pre-Pro Pictures Of HM's Third Bf 110

Thanks for snaps guys; just two small points. The rear mgs should be smaller as in MG81Z, and why do we get a fixed crew ladder which must be removed to pose in flight?

It would have been nice if the ladder had been an add on piece.

Re: Pre-Pro Pictures Of HM's Third Bf 110

I was gonna wait for Corgi's Bf-110 (I prefer the earlier BoB variants), but the inclusion of the Schrage Muzik on this model, coupled with the level of detail seen on the second release, has me reconsidering...

Keep up the good work, Hobby Master!

Re: Pre-Pro Pictures Of HM's Third Bf 110

I wonder if it might be possible for HM to produce their Bf 110 as an earlier G-2/ G-3 model. It would require a different mold with regards to the shape of the vertical stabilizers and also would be interesting if they could modify the nose for the four MG17 7.92mm machine guns as apposed to the twin Mk108 30mm cannons. Both these areas are plastic and since HM has shown it does make some different plastic parts on some of its models, might just be possible.

Example with smaller size vertical stabilizers.

Example with smaller stabilizers and four MG17 7.92mm machine gun upper deck armament.
