Re: Pre-Pro Pictures Of HM's Third BF-109G

I sure hope that HM corrected the direction of the aileron balances on the next 110 issue. Does or has anyone removed them and reattached them? How do you take them off without breaking them, any idea?

Take a close look at the pre production pictures of the third Bf 110 on Hawk's site. The aileron balances are correct!!!

Re: Pre-Pro Pictures Of HM's Third Bf 110

I do believe I see the barrels of Schräge Musik armament poking out from the rear canopy. Time for another pre-order.

I've also tracked down an IXO 110E which should be arriving about the same time as the Drewes' G4. I have Corgi's 110C on pre-order, but if my Corgi P-51A pre-order experience is any indication, I'm not expecting the 110C to show up bofore 2009!

I do believe you are correct on the Schräge Musik armament on the third Bf 110, and quite pleased I already have this one on pre-order. I hope the folks at Corgi jump start their production a bit.

Re: Pre-Pro Pictures Of HM's Third Bf 110

Not only did they get the Schräge Musik armament right on this one, but the aileron balances are correct too. HM is going to have put out a real nice line up of Bf 110s.

The pieces are on to stay. I tried to work on off, but it looked like it might break, so left as is.

That sucks. I was very disapointed that they didn't get it right. Maybe it is because they enslave 8 year olds to work 12 hour shifts.

Bit of a bummer. I even considered trying to lift them out. but the thought of marring the surface pretty much decided against giving it a shot. Fortunately they have it right on the third Bf 110 and hope they put out a few more.

Re: Pre-Pro Pictures Of HM's Third Bf 110

Very impressed with my first one. Two little caveats however; the static crew ladder which I removed as I wanted to pose in flight. The other one concerns the rear mgs; the appear too large to me as the MG81Z twin with short barrels were fitted I believe. A welcome addition; all we need now is a JU 88 with all the 'kit and caboodle'

I would like to see both a day and night fighter version of the Ju 88. Here is a real interesting paint scheme for the day fighter variant used on the Eastern Front.

Is that a false glass nose.
