Re: Prototype Mirage photos on Hawk's site

Actually, come to think of it, if they do the prototype, does that mean there wasn't any external difference between the prototype and the production one?
Can anyone shed any light on this?

Cool Re: Prototype Mirage photos on Hawk's site

Just checked the site, looks pretty cool. Can't comment on the prototype versus the production version.

Yes, there will always be a slight variation from prototype to FSD (Full Scale Development) and you can easily find information in cyberspace if you're so inclined to find out.

Yeah, I haven't bought any HM Mirage yet due in part to the front undercart issue. I do however, will by this prototype Mirage 2000 because I used to own the Monogram model
kit and I really like the paint scheme. It will be nice if HM also do the twin-engined Mirage 4000 as a complimentary a/c to the 2000, but that's just a pipe-dream of mine.

Re: Prototype Mirage photos on Hawk's site

Gorgeous. One of the few "loud" schemes I can handle. Will look lovely next to my current M2k.

Andrew, you are right to ask. There are significant differences between the prototype and the production models, most prominent being the taller vertical tail. Also, no air refueling probe on prototype.

I'll skip this one because of these errors, which to me are too significant. Plus the white paint makes that radome "panel line" (which shouldn't be there at all) even more visible. Too bad because the scheme is attractive.
