Re: Nakajima B5N2 Kate and NASA F-104N

Neither one excite me, especially the Kate being a Pearl Harbor attacker. Maybe its me, but thats like having a 911 passenger jet model. But I understand some will really like that. Oh well. I'll hold out for the Atlantic Avenger and some Helldivers from HM.

Excellent news! I'm trying to locate a picture of this plane but if memory serves, it has a JN Green upper surface camouflage and the tail plus the stabilizers are done in a most distinctive yellow and red striped pattern.

Re: Nakajima B5N2 Kate and NASA F-104N

Thank you Hobby Master! A Kate will be a great addition to the collection. Plus, it will give my George Welsh P40 from FOV something to hunt. < lol >

Anything for a weird life.

It should look something very similar to this, but with different markings (pic is Shokaku Kate)

Hopefully we'll get more 1/72 IJN and IJA aircraft in the future to go with my Iowa Belle P-51 (that I hope to get one day...maybe)

Re: Nakajima B5N2 Kate and NASA F-104N

I found a few artists' renditions on the Wings Palette site of Kates from the carrier Zuikaku. All have JN Green upper surfaces. I doubt that we will see the fancy tail stripes I mentioned earlier on the first model---ensigns didn't rate such treatment.
