It seems awfully quiet...

Is it my imagination, or do things seem pretty quiet here with Hobby Master and Century Wings as far as news? With a few exceptions, it just seems that there has been less "new" news on new releases or items arriving at the dealers. Maybe it just has to do with the items I am interested in as I guess some items have been arriving at dealers. Also, Hawkonevoodoo has apparently been busy or quiet of late. I suppose I was spoiled by the "frenzy" of new releases of late when the CW F-8 and the Hobby Master F-4's and 1/32 SBD were announced. I guess I will just have to wait for those to show up at the dealers...

Re: It seems awfully quiet...

Hawk has been busy with personal issues, and those trump us and this forum anytime. Maybe we have been spoiled with TMI. I'm sure you'll get your fix soon though.

Re: It seems awfully quiet...

I think you'll find that not a lot will happen over the next few weeks anyway because of the Chinese New Year.

Re: It seems awfully quiet...

Hawk did post that the CNY was affecting the news coming out of the factories over there.

Reminds me of that old TV clip when the host of the show called Dean Martin out on stage to wish him a "Happy new year" and ask how his new year's eve party was going...in late January!

Re: It seems awfully quiet...

I agree it's quiet, but we know what's coming and are maybe getting a little restless while awaiting the new releases.

Re: It seems awfully quiet...

I don't know if I can stand another week of nothing to post. Everything is running fine now with my personal life (wife was hospitalized for a week but everything came out ok), now just to get something from Hong Kong. I suspect it will be another 5 or 6 days before anything starts to flow. It probably will be the 18th before the staff return from Chinese New Year celebration.

Re: It seems awfully quiet...

It's Chinese New Years. Every year it seems like the whole country shuts down for 2-3 weeks.

Anything for a weird life.

It's just the calm before the storm of Phantoms on their way. I can't wait!
