Re: It seems awfully quiet...

I don't know if I can stand another week of nothing to post. Everything is running fine now with my personal life (wife was hospitalized for a week but everything came out ok)

Nice to hear everything is well in your own life, Hawk. Love your website and all the information so enjoy the well-deserved break.

Re: It seems awfully quiet...

I don't know if I can stand another week of nothing to post. Everything is running fine now with my personal life (wife was hospitalized for a week but everything came out ok), now just to get something from Hong Kong. I suspect it will be another 5 or 6 days before anything starts to flow. It probably will be the 18th before the staff return from Chinese New Year celebration.

Glad to hear your wife is OK, Hawk...were you able to sneak in a bunch of diecast in her absence?

Re: It seems awfully quiet...

It's Chinese New Years. Every year it seems like the whole country shuts down for 2-3 weeks.

Possibly because it is the year of the Rat some are eating more during these celebrations... I well remember my trip to Hong Kong 2 years back and my visit to the markets - a street vendor asked if i wanted "book book chicken" or miaow miaow chicken" for my stir fry.... I ended up have McD's for that meal!!

I love to strafe my cat with my newest diecast model fighters and ground attack aircraft!
