I just received a HM HA7006 F2A-2 Brewster Buffalo from Jeff at Aim-Higher Jets. This thing is nice! I had resisted collecting another scale, but as I like USN aircraft, I thought I had to get one of these 1/48 Buffalos. I am really glad I did. It is very well done and relatively inexpensive. I am particularly impressed with the quality of the paint and the markings. And yes, it has the "inked" panel lines-- but I like them and think they look great on this model. Everything about this Buffalo speaks of quality. The fit and detail is really quite nice. I just hope they don't come out with an F2A-3 or other USN aircraft in 1/48 scale, as I may not be able to resist buying more. I am guessing the quality of the 1/32 SBD's will be exceptional based on the job that HM did on this one.

Hey there.

I just received my first Buffalo myself and its a really nice bird. While its tempting to get them all, I'm happy with the one that I got on sale. As you noted, and many others have as well, it is an excellent bird and one I'll gladly keep out on display but it does clash with all these 1:72 scale birds. Then again, that is just me whining for more 1:72. < hehe >
