Re: HM 1/32 SBD almost here??

The US distributor tends to get a display example of new releases ahead of the actual shipment, I would imagine that Hawk's info is still your best reference for the actual arrival date.

These dates are what I received from Hong Kong when I asked them. Please remember that dates are only approximations. They were supposed to arrive in Seattle on the 16th they may have arrived earlier or later depending on weather and the ocean crossing. They state arriving at distributor on the 26th but again, it could be earlier or later. It depends on how long it takes US Customs to clear the shipment and then it depends on how quickly they can make shipping connections to Minnesota. And then it depends on how quickly the distributor can unpack everything, take inventory to make sure they received everything and then they have to do up each retailers order and re-pack the models and get them shipped. Then you have to consider how long it takes the transportation company to get them to the retailer and then the retailer has to unpack everything and make sure he or she received their complete order. Then the retailer has to enter the models into their stocklist and re-pack the models and get them shipped and again it depends on how long it takes for the transportation company to deliver your parcel. So as you can see there are a lot of variables so please don't take these dates as hard and fast. As I said before these are only tentative dates to give you an approximate time to expect your models. If they are early or late it isn't anyone person or company's fault, especially dealing with weather on the Pacific.

So as you can see, there are no variables so please take these dates as hard and fast. As I said before, on these dates, you can expect your models. If they are late it's my fault, because weather on the Pacific is always perfect.

Sounds great Hawk! Thanks for the update.

Hawk, I got exhausted just READING that!

I got exhausted writing it, I had to do it over a 2 day period. Just kidding. I just wanted everyone to know that dates can't be considered 100% reliable because there are too many variables.
I'll keep it short and sweet next time.

Hawk, that was not at all a complaint! It was an attempt at humor (humour for our British cousins), just a reference to all the ins and outs, and movement of our beloved diecast, that you described.

I did laugh, I thought you accomplished what you set out to do. I guess I have just become so used to throwing in something to make sure everyone understands. Maybe I have become cynical.

Re: HM 1/32 SBD almost here??

Hawk indicated on his web-site that the much anticipated Dauntless is (today) at the U.S. distributor. Hopefully, we will start seeing pics real soon. Will you kind souls who have preordered this post lots and lots of pictures--when you recieve it--for those of us who are waiting for the second release? I would be much obliged (and I am sure many others would be also).

I have one on pre-order. Will have to salivate (drool to you Skunky) over the pics when you guys post them. It will be a few weeks I reckon before they hit this side of the pond.

Me too! For my money: PappyB will be the first one to do it and beat the rest of us to the punch when it comes to posting great pictures, Elmer!
