Thumbs up F-105 Thunderfchief

Hawk, any chance that HM as an F-105 in the pipeline? The F-105 was a Major player in Viet Nam, and one of the better die cast makers, i.e., HM or CW needs to produce this piece of history. My pick would be Col. Douglas' F-105D "Arkansas Traveler". It must have been the only fighter in Nam to sport eight WW II Swastikas beneath the cockpit on the port side. Now that would make a great livery.

Re: F-105 Thunderfchief

Great suggestion, Stalag8611!

Another F-105 mount I would love to see is that of MOH recipient: Major Leo Thorsness. It is probably a safe bet that we will see a diecast of this bird made in short order.

Right you are, Rushman! But I would much rather prefer this bird in 1/72nd instead

Re: F-105 Thunderfchief

If MP gets their hands on the F-105 we are sure to see it in the scale 1:98 or 1:115 or whatever the designer roulette wheel stops on that day..

Heck, I'd hold off my request for a Gripen or Draken (see other thread) if I knew a Thud was in the pipeline.

There's a beautiful F-105G standing as a Gate Guard near my wife's workplace. The Thud is a gigantic looking bird. The nose landing gear looks to be about 2 stories in height ( I know I do exagerate ) but...
...BRING ON THE WILD WEASELS, Baby!!!
