Re: Check Hawk One's site for F - 4

Annette and her sisters are all going to get kicked to the curb here very soon..Even tank nut will have no use for them. My Corgi Phantoms are probably headed for the landfill to join Gunslinger...

Annette may have been Corgi's first F-4 camo jobby, but she still suffers from the same substandard mold as all the rest of them...I never could figure what all the hoopla was about with this one. I think it's just another one of those things that people just manufactured some hysteria over without really even knowing why.... The only way I would have ever picked it up would have been if I came across it at TM for $14.99, and I wouldn't even give that much for it now..

Well, don't ship em to the landfill fellas, I'll adopt 'em... whent the time comes PM me for shipping. I'll even pick up the tab.

Listen boys, you are putting the cart before the horse with all this talk about which nose it should have. We first need to know if its gonna have an ENGINE! Isn't the engine more important than the nose???? So... you Phantom experts out there: how deep are the turbines buried in the fuselage, and are they visible from the intakes?

Elmer, if my memory serves me right, you literally crawl inside this...

Re: Check Hawk One's site for F - 4

The real money is to be made with the long-nosed F-4E/F/Gs. They have :

The war record :
  • USAF - Vietnam War
  • IAF - Yom Kippur & Lebanon
  • IIAF - Iran vs Irak war
  • USAF - Gulf War (G)
Plus the nicest paint schemes :
  • USAF - Thunderbirds
  • Luftwaffe's Blue-grey
  • Japan - Lots of nice manga deco
  • Greek - Aegean Grey
I am not too worried, I am sure the long nosed are coming too...

Great pictures, fly! Thanks. It has been awhile since I have seen a Phantom with intakes uncovered, but I recall seeing deep dark holes. This is ok with me. What is not ok is a model with intakes that are recessed an inch or so and then obviously blanked out with... what would you call it... a wall? What's up with that, and why is that acceptable with collectors??? To me, this is analagous to leaving a prop off a prop driven model. I would rather have a model with intake covers so you can't see inside the obviously ridiculous looking thing.

You may have seen, Iīve put a smiley behind my question - of course I do know that Corgiīs are . Still donīt want any B, C, D or J, even if properly done!!!

Yeah I saw the smily face. I just like saying how crap Corgi is and, hopefully with the support of others, could tell them how to do their job.
