Re: Slideshow Review -- HM Bf-110 HA1801

IF and I do mean if, I get one. I agree, this is the one to get. I don't get the p*ssing and moaning about this one. If you don't like it, don't buy it. Make your own from a model, we'll see how well yours turns out. It looks like a 110, the Corgi Mustang is a dog yet several of you own them. Whats the difference? Its a flippin toy afterall.

Since that's how you feel why not get IXO's version of that paint scheme then?

It's a toy, afterall, and it's out already...

You missed the IF part. Sure why not get this one. I don't really give a hoot one way or the other. But I do like HM for the most part ( still need a Atlantic Avenger and WW2 USN SNJ ), I can wait for theirs, IF and when I do get one.

Re: Slideshow Review -- HM Bf-110 HA1801

I don't get the p*ssing and moaning about this one. - If you don't like it, don't buy it.

Make your own from a model, we'll see how well yours turns out. It looks like a 110, the Corgi Mustang is a dog yet several of you own them. Whats the difference? Its a flippin toy afterall.

Hi Shawn, I see your point, but I think it's healthy that people express their views & opinions, even if it ain't favourable everytime !

Personally I like hearing the "pi$$ing & moaning" about each & every die-cast release - it helps me to formulate an opinion on whether to buy, (or not ?) as guys on here can often point out a 'Howler'.... = some things even my experienced eye don't pick up.......

I don't wish to sound like a big-head here, but I know I can make models as good as these (from plastic-kits)........ I've had I.P.M.S. awarded kits, (around 10 years ago), when I DID have the patience.......... (but I'm older & more jaded now)

BUT, my Lazy-*$$ says "Nah, can't be ars*d" ........ so I buy & collect SOME die-cast instead,

Cash & ready-made to a fair standard = more spare time !!!!!!!!!!!!

My opinion on this 'zestorer' '110 is very much like hworth's opinion (He's another seasoned I.P.M.S. guy, who prob' knows where I'm 'comin'-from' in terms of outlook (?)

Yes, it sure looks like a '110' but somewhat 'toy' like = maybe the paint execution & the 210cm rocket-tubes for me........?

Maybe another paint-scheme or version will 'sway' me ??????

Gawd knows I've got enough of the (beautiful) Revell 1/48th inj' moulded kit with similar/same markings stored by (for a rainy-day)

The 'G.2' version........... as well as the resin nosed bird & the 'FuG-'Stag-Antler' versions also......

I'd say that Hobbymasters RAF Harvard is nothing short of SUPERB...... I bought it & it blew my socks off (so impressed)......

But, this Me.110......(God, I LOVE the '110 as a plane, but I'd hesitate to buy this......MAYBE another version ?)

BTW, can ANYONE confirm that the (forthcoming) Corgi '110 & the H.M. ARE actually different moulds ??????

I plead ignorance on this one !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Slideshow Review -- HM Bf-110 HA1801

I understand a good healthy review with pros and cons. I can live with those. Its the guy who has nothing good to say and has an axe to grind. He is the one I want to see build and paint a better one. I collect diecast airplanes because I know I can't build and paint them as well as I do armor. So I don't get that bent over things I can fix. And If I can't fix it, I have to decide if I can live with the gap, improper fit, etc... I had to do it with HM's Hellcats ( tail to body fit and gap issue). If I can live with it, the plane jions the squadron. If not I save a few bucks.
They aren't hand crafted models made by master Swiss diecast craftsman. They are massed produced by someone who really doesn't care. Raise your hand if you a got a bad example right out of the box. Right now you have three makers of the 110, and so far two have been voted off the island. What if Corgi doesn't deliver?
