What do you hope to see from Hobby Master for 2008?

Okay, let's get some activity going here-- In anticipation of Hawkonevoodoo posting the list of HM releases for the coming year, what are you hoping to see on that list? As for me, I hope to see the rumored 1/72 F-4E in USAF SEA camouflage. I would also love to see some other 1/72 F-4's from HM. I would also like to see an olive drab USAAF P-39 in 1/72 as well as a USN Vietnam-era A-4 with a load of Mk. 82's. Maybe a USN A-1H or J, though I hear that Gemini may be doing that one. Finally, there is one HM plane that I want this next year, but I know it will be coming for sure-- that is a 1/32 Midway scheme SBD-3. There are other things that I would like to see as well and will probably buy, but those are my choices that I think I can reasonably expect to be on the list.
What about the rest of you?

Re: What do you hope to see from Hobby Master for 2008?

I had a simular thread a few weeks ago. Most people wanted some prewar WWII aircraft. P-36, P-35 and few mentioned a Kingfisher. I'm more into jets,So I'm looking for a F-5,F-100, F-4 and A-1. Maybe we'll get a New Years gift from Hawkonevoodoo with a list of new metal. Hopefully there will be some surprises that no one was expecting Like a F-101 or P-61 HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU. LM

I'd like to see something that I'd ACTUALLY like to buy for a change! An olive drab P-39, a Navy A-1, a P-61 or even a SB2C Helldiver - all in 1/72 only because I don't collect 1/48 nor do I collect jets. And PLEASE spare us the "cutesy" schemes you seem to think we want. I HATE cute!!!!!

Pappy!!, Pappy!!... let's not get started with the ridiculous folding wings debacle again!....remember what we learned about such things? (go back and look at the F-9F piccies)...Real airplanes and toy airplanes can have operating folding wings....Model airplanes that want to resemble (as much as possible) real airplanes must refrain from such frivolous pursuits.....

Re: What do you hope to see from Hobby Master for 2008?

I would like to see HM continue to make models that nobody else appears willing or able to do (P-39, Helldiver, etc). They may not make them perfectly the first time out the gate (e.g., Mirage, Bf-110) but they remain the most responsive (so far) to anything our little community offers-up in the way of criticism or suggestions for the future.

That said, more Soviet (not Russian - a difference) planes would be welcome to fill a BIG void in WWII models (and NOT just repaints of Western planes with Soviet stars ). And how about some Italian planes? Even that Romanian plane would be welcome (was that the IAR - something and am I the only person saying that?).

One more thing before my soap-box is kicked out from under me - MIDDLE EAST WARPLANES! Israeli built Kfirs, etc. Syrian and Jordanian Migs! A lot of possibilities there to go after.

I second that. IAR-80/81 will be sweet and anything from lowly LaGG-3 to mighty Pe-2 will suit me just fine. For a Lend Lease I would like to see A-20 in the Night Fighter configuration that the Soviets used around Breslau in March of 1945. These A-20s were the first "Soviet" Radar-equipped combat aircraft.

Regards,

Sergey

Something that will fit with my collection and without the black lines.
