Skyhawk of the Angels

Yes!, those schemes work for me-- that is exactly what I am talking about. We need some more Vietnam-era USN A-4's with some Mk. 82 bomb loads!

Re: new pictures

We need Mk82's for every jet of every era. HM should really start putting them on their A-10's. And Dragon's Hornets could sure use them. As could all the later F-14's.

Re: new pictures

Hobby Master is in the process of making Mk. 82s and are hoping to have them ready for the retail version but no promises. This is the pre-pro so not necessarily the final weapons load.

Hey Hawk, could you please ask HM to delay the release of the Israeli A-4 until the Mk 82 bombs are ready? I'd rather wait and see that plane bombed up than without bombs

Andrew, it may be a bit too late for that. It is not just a matter of waiting for the Mk.82s, but the boxes for the models will have been produced, and the shipping will have been contracted already, so I am not sure that HM can "wait".

I do agree that this model would have looked great with some Mk.82s, but if HM supplies them later as an optional set, I would buy then and load them later.
Actually, it would be great if HM came with a range of accesories for their 1:72 and 1:48 models :
  • various ordnnance
  • handling equipment for the above
  • ground crews
  • etc
In any case, thanks H1Vfor the pictures, and thanks HM for releasing this model.

Now, please, the Israeli and the iranian F-4Es in 2008...

Re: new pictures

Actually, I don't think it would be too late at this stage and its not something they haven't done before. They did re-do the paint on the P-39's. And it would be more cost effective for them to ship it with bombs than sell them as extras. I don't think everyone will buy the extras and they haven't done extras yet.

Re: new pictures

The model is too far along to delay and the Mk. 82s aren't far enough along so with the combination the IDF A-4 will come with the Zunis and the next A-4 will have the Mk. 82s and I assume once these Mk. 82s are developed they will start using them on other planes like David Hingtgen mentioned.

I am hoping that "the next A-4" mentioned above with the Mk. 82's will be a Vietnam-era USN Skyhawk. I would love to have one of those.
