I just posted some pictures of the HA7201 F9F Panther.
REMEMBER THESE ARE PRE-PRODUCTION PICTURES AND ARE ONLY MEANT TO GIVE YOU A GENERAL IDEA OF WHAT THE MODEL WILL LOOK LIKE. THERE STILL MAY BE SOME ADJUSTMENTS TO BE MADE BEFORE THE FINAL PRODUCTION IS STARTED.

Re: Hobby Master 1/48 F9F pictures

You got me for one already. I think it looks great. The panel lines for the folding wings are in the right place although it looks as if they could be a little tighter. Other than that it is cool. And this is a pre-pro shot as well.

I can take umbrage, I can take the cake, I can take the A-Train, I can take two and call me in the morning, but I cannot take this sitting down. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to take five.

Looks good! No wing sag, but the hinges are a little big. Overall, a great looking bird. I'm definitely saving space in my collection for this one!

I don't know much about the Panthers, but I think it looks good from what I see...

It looks like the nose is all set for Hobby Master to swap out the photo-recon version. I may have to keep room for 2 Panthers in my collection.

Re: Hobby Master 1/48 F9F pictures

I wish Hobby Master would stop making great looking carrier planes in 1/48. I don't need another scale......

Seriously- I did a quick comparison to some photos and besides the obvious pre-pro issues that will be fixed it looks pretty good. I'm sure it will be a winner.

Re: Hobby Master 1/48 F9F pictures

Wow! This is a must have for me too! It looks good so far and I'm sure HM is busy working out the kinks however, like SKUNKY, I'm not a big fan of the working features. I remember when this was a trend in plastic models (Monogram) back in the '60's and '70's and it forced the models' accuracy to be compromised just to have working features. The models looked toylike as a result and the practice was abandoned. I'm sure this practice makes the models more expensive and fragile too. I do, however, like poseable options though.

Re: Hobby Master 1/48 F9F pictures

I'm sorry but the hinges of the folding wing is just a big turn off for me. I'll take a look when the final product becomes available.
