Yeah, very interesting aircraft, Flight Journal Mag did a whole story on how that aircraft came to be a few months back.

Yeah, the Avia S-199 looks pretty bad a$$ with that grinning skull logo of the 101 Squadron on the nose. Interesting bit of trivia: One of the first Israeli pilots that formed the fledgling IAF, and flew the Avia, was Milton Rubenfeld...You may know his son by a more familiar name, Paul Reubens aka Pee Wee Herman.
