Since it's billed as being an "E", it may not have the hump. It might look more like this-
IDF Modelling - A-4E by Ostilio Bonacini

In that case, I'll still buy it. Another thing...I hope it's got the long tailpipe feature on the HM model? I hope H1VD will reveal
a pre-pro soon!
I really hope it is the one with the Hump and with those 6 centreline bombs!!

Hump or NO HUMP...this baby will still be mine!

Re: HA1407 - A-4E 116 Sqn "The Flying Wing", Israeli Air Force, Yom Kippur War 1973

Guys, when flying back home from a business trip last week I wrote the text of a provocative ( = angry ) post to place in this forum complaining bitterly about HM having produced just about every A-4 model possible but not the one that really counted ( IAF 1973 ).

Now I happily see I wasted my time. GREAT !!!!! I really wanted this model. Actually, the A-4N with the hump looks nicer and meaner than the A-4E without it, but having once argued in this forum that the Israeli A-4 should be produced because of its historical Yom Kippur significance, I have to stick to that reasoning.

Anyway, I will be buying a couple of these for sure ( for me and for my brother ).

The other excellent side of this is that now we can almost be sure that there will also be an Israeli F-4E and an Iranian F-4E when HM releases its 1:72 Phantom in 2008. Too bad their Egyptian Mig-21 had a historically meaningless colour scheme.

I'm glad this one's coming. IMO, being an E model makes it just that much cooler...

Good to see more IAF birds being made, A Phantom to go with it would be nice.
I would also like to see somebody do a desert camo IAF F-15.

I hear you! An IAF F-15I Ra'am would complete my quest to complete my Hel Ha' Avir Airforce collection!

Absolutely yes on the F-15I, but notice on the picture: it needs the correct conformal tanks (i.e. with the integral weapons pylons on them)!!! And a good ordnance load.

Otherwise, as far as I'm concerned, don't bother (or be honest and call it a D model with CFTs).

Complete ? I am only aware of the following diecasts ( in 1:72 )
  • F-16 C by Sky Guardians ( or Witty Wings, I can't remember )
  • F-15 B or D ( same brand as the above )
  • A-4E coming soon from HM
  • F-4E expected from HM at some stage
Which means we are still missing :
  • F-16 I Sufa
  • Mirage III & Nesher
  • Kfir
OK, only the F-16I is presently operational, but the other three would be great to have ( the Mirage III in the 1967 chrome scheme please )

Damn straight! If (and that's a big IF) Dragon would upgrade their F-15D with the appropriate weapons pylons package on the existing CFT, then we'll have ourselves an almost accurate looking IAF F-15I model.

Well, I should've been more specific in my comments. While I'm at it, I would definitely like to complete the whole series of IAF warbirds seen on the chart below as well.
