CF-104 Tiger Meet

Came home from shopping today and found a package on the step. Being that its Sunday didn't figure it was a plane but the post must now deliver on Sundays getting ready for christmas I guess.

Any way not a bad model, but Hobby Master must have hired some of Corgi's researchers for there box literature, the box states that it comes with "detachable Oil Tanks" ?

Here's some Pics

Re: CF-104 Tiger Meet

Nice model, I picked it up on Thursday. Have you figured out the yellow markings on the black stripe?

Question Re: CF-104 Tiger Meet

Ever notice that the anhedral on the two wings are not the same? I had the same situation with the my Canadian and German 104s. Is this problem present across HM's 104 line? I was thinking of getting some more 104s but it's a little hard to detach the wings and reattach them at the correct angle.

I keep telling them fuel tanks but I guess it gets lost in translation.

Great - Thanks for pointing that out! I have 3 HM and 1 Corgi F-104 models and thought they were darn near flawless - now I know that all four have asymetric anhedral.

Hawk - This is obviously an issue with the basic model as it apparently affects all of them. How does something like that happen?

I think I will go into denial now and pretend I never heard about this issue...my F-104's are perfect, yeah that's it....

I think it is more of an assembly problem. When the wings are inserted into the fuselage and glued they aren't on a jig or something to keep both wings at the same angle while the glue hardens. I adjusted mine with a little pressure from my thumbs. I was very careful and felt for any sign or feel of movement in the wing and it doesn't take much movement to correct the angle. Like I mentioned, I'm sure the wings are done in two pieces and inserted into the fuselage and glued so I figured worse case scenario for me was I would have to re-glue the wings and hold them in place while they hardened. I didn't have to do any of this because one wing gave at the joint just enough to loosen it without becoming separated. If you try this you do so at your own risk. This is my CYA statement. I did email Hobby Master in Hong Kong about this so thanks for pointing it out.
