Re: Hey Hawkonevoodoo

Am I right in saying a 465 Bogue class E-carrier would be 77 inches long? Not bad, but getting it in the door might be a challenge...the hardest part would be fighting my wife off as she tried to keep it OUT!

Call it a tribute coffee table !!

Re: Hey Hawkonevoodoo

I'm afraid it won't work; after three years of collecting my wife sees through my various ploys. Sad, but no carrier. However, she might allow an IKEA display case, if I share...

However, just to be repetitive and annoying (since I've mentioned this on at least a dozen other threads), some Soviet and Japanese WWII types from HM would be appreciated.

Addendum after checking out Hawks web page: Looks like HB has pretty much finalized 2008. Looking forward to seeing their final lineup. Sounds like they may have finalized their plans for new moulds...

A Bogue in 1/72 would be 82.66 inches long. That is 6.9 feet long. I've seen a 1/72 escort carrier model on board USS Hornet and once you factor in any table or cover for it it is quite a big model.

I should have the line up for the first half of 2008 in about 10 - 14 days, with luck a little sooner.

Re: Hey Hawkonevoodoo

Yeah, I saw that. I'm hoping HM will bring them back with more planned schemes in 2009...

With these 6 models being cut back it probably means they are making room for new molds.

Hawk, are these 6 models going to disappear completely after 2008? Or are they just going to be given a rest?

Re: Hey Hawkonevoodoo

Hey Hawk, I picked up the Canadian Tiger Meet CF 104 tonight and played with the 1/48 Spit. Sweet models.
I hope you pass on our good thoughts and thanks for a fine product to HM and not only the stuff we bitch about here.

As far as I know they are giving these models a rest and going to introduce some new molds. Whether or not they disappear in 2009 I can't answer at this time. But after 6 or 7 releases it is time to slow down so people don't get tired of them and time for fresh looks.
