Hobby Master 1/200 Air Power Series

A wise move, wich should speed up the issue of new products in other scales.

I agree. Hopefully this will sharpen HM's focus on 1:72 and, to a lesser extent, 1:48 scale aircraft models. Now, if they would do the same thing with their armor offerings---emphasizing 1:48 over 1:72--I'd be even happier.

Such a pity!! Such a damn pity!! I was looking so forward to this new scale,as i've only started collecting this scale and i think it compliments my 1/72's just nicely.A question to Hobby Master:Why do you advertise this and get our hopes up,just to suddenly abandon the whole thing??

I'm dissappointed by this as well, as there have been some fantastic level of detail on this scale. but they didn't say they weren't ever going to come back to it. Well, if its just not feasible for them to do it now, we can only hope they do it later.

I would imagine they had full intent to do the 1/200 but things changed along the way. Maybe it is a matter of rethinking starting another new line when they are just starting 1/32 and the 1/72 helicopters. Perhaps they re-examined the 1/200 market, maybe cost, maybe the economy I don't know for sure but you can be sure that they took a long hard look at it before making their decision. Maybe they didn't want to over extend themselves they decided the one new series to cut would be the 1/200. I'm sure they had very valid reasons and didn't take this lightly as they don't like to announce some new series just to cancel it. Obviously something very important took place to make them change their mind. What we'll probably never know for sure.

Re: Hobby Master 1/200 Air Power Series

This is sad news.
I do collect 1:200 scale military aircraft and I was looking forward to their announced Tornado & MIG-29.
Oh, well, maybe Herpa will pick up the ball.
