A-10 weapons questions

I plan on buying the early-release grey A-10 (I already plan to fix the tail) and was wondering how are the weapons attached? While Hobby Master has nice molds, their weapons seem sub-standard IMHO. And like too many manufacturers, they still paint 1990's+ weapons in 1970's "all white". I'd like to get rid of a lot of the weapons, and leave the pylons empty, and maybe replace a few weapons with some spare ones from Dragon etc. Are the weapons heavily glued on like some companies, or just barely hanging on like others? And do they use pins+holes, or "long slots and tabs"? (The former usually looks better when you take them off)

Same questions for how the pylons are attached to the wing----if I remove them, will there be big spots of glue residue and paint issues, or just 2 tiny little spots where the pins attached?

I just pulled weapons off from mine, rearranged and reattached them. Didn't leave any obvious glue mark. doesnt use pin spots to attach. just the slot.

Sure I'll take some tonight. I planned ahead that I wanted a grey and a green A-10. Instead of having 2 with the same load out, I made the grey A-10 to carry mostly mavs. The D-Day stripe one, I will probably leave with all its original weapons just for the sake of it.

Re: A-10 weapons questions

As you can see, the Mavs don't fit perfectly on the outer pylons. But it fits enough not for me to notice much anyway. I changed the outside bombs to the inner pylons. You can put mavs on the inside one as well, but the fit isn't so good. I like my A-10 to have a mixed load anyway. I'd rather have mk82 snakeyes if they were available instead. At most, i would have used just a little bit of blu tac to keep the missiles in place. wouldn't want to use glue as i might change my mind later for my loadouts.
