Re: Hobby Master News Page

Did my eyes deceive me? I think I saw a Panzer IV on the list, thank the diecast gods, it's about time someone did this tank! Hawk, please let HM know that they've made one armor collector very happy! I hope they do both with and without schurtzen!

No, your vision is good and as usual I will pass your comments on to the proper people at Hobby Master.

I agree with you, bring 'em on.

At their current pace, I honestly think that HobbyMaster will soon take pole position in diecast manufacturing away from the combined efforts of both Corgi and Dragon. Their quality and range are excellent and they seem to be reaching deep into their pockets to establish a 'diecast bridgehead' .

I received the new 1/72 Cromwell tank yesterday and it was so good that I promptly ordered the Centaur, KV1 and KV2. I'll admit that the detailing was perhaps a little 'softer' than Dragon Armor, but overall the Cromwell is superb .

I found the display box better than that of Dragon and the printed details on the base are a nice touch. Initially, when I took the Cromwell out of the box there was a moment of tension when I noticed that the muzzle brake on the barrel was 'drooping' and I thought it was irreperably bent. After gently bending it, it came off and I noticed that it was designed to fit snugly to the barrel via a tiny 'dovetail', which only requires a small amount of glue to secure it.

I'll be buying plenty more of the HM armour range, especially the newly announced Panzer IV

One sheep to rule them all ...

Re: Hobby Master News Page

I found it interesting, when perusing my recent Historic Aviation catalog, that in a number of places they identified the manufacturer of certain items as HobbyMaster. The have never before, to my knowledge, done that with any of the products offered. Perhaps they feel the name will better sell the item?

And they are the US Distributor for Hobby Master.

Re: Hobby Master News Page

Uugh! The HobbyMaster News was updated today with changes to the coming line-up. :

HA0133 1/72 SBD-5 VMS-3, Cdr. Enterprise Group, US Virgin Islands 1944 "Major
Christian Lee" POSTPONED UNTIL OCTOBER. THERE HAS ALSO BEEN A LIVERY

CHANGE - NEW LIVERY WILL BE : USMC VMSB-231, "White 1", Marshall Islands, 1944

We finally get an Atlantic bird and they go and dump it. I am dissapointed to say the least!

@#%$*()> Now that I'm done emoting all over myself, hopefully HobbyMaster will put an Atlantic bird back in the line-up later.

Can you shed any light on this, Hawkone?

Could somebody tell HM that there is also an ocean off the east coast of the U.S. It's called the Atlantic. hellooo!?!

I always noticed that too, Cap....it kind of bugged me too...I can usually always figure it out, but I don't want to have to think when I'm flipping thru their catalog..I have other "business" to take care of.

Re: Hobby Master News Page

Is this change anything to do with Hobbymaster now releasing the last 6 of the Predator range now that Corgi are not?

Re: Hobby Master News Page

WT !! Why can't we get some Atlantic SBDs and Avengers? This is a real bummer to say the least. I can only see three ways to make it up. HM has to re-issue the Cat Mouth Hellcat with their treatment, make another US 3 tone Hellcat with red surround insignia and a 3 tone SBD with the same red outlined insignia. And oh throw in a WW2 USN SNJ for good measure!!
Man what bummer news?
