They are also known as Diverse Images. They make very nice product. Hand made in the UK and very limited stuff.

They do put out a unique selection of aircraft and really did a nice job on their DH 88 Comet.

I like this Spitfire but I need anothr JEJ model like a hole in the head. May go for the full wing version instead. Are they making more than 2 of these ya think??

This is just my personal opinion, I don't officially know if there will or won't be a 3rd but I'm willing to bet there will be more. I think it's just a matter of economics, they have to produce a certain number of a type of plane just to recoup their cost and then hopefully make a few dollars. I'm quite sure 2 releases don't come close to the magic number where they break even. Remember, this is just my own opinion based on past performance.

Both these look good even with the issues pointed out. I have this one on pre-order but hope there are no issues like the fixed open doors on the Mirage 2000. I cancelled my order for that. I really want the Spitfire Mk XIV! I'm aiming to get both. I've even started to get the ball by buying my first aeroplane 1/48, an EI P51B to go with the Spits. Carousel 1 Fw 190D9 next.

You have truly seen the light! Congratulations.

Well Historic Aviation sent me this email on Monday Nov 5th:

We are expecting our shipment in from the factory.
The planes will be here as early as next week.

Thank you for the inquiry.

Best,
Rick

But i have not seen anyone else get them yet ...

Hmmm... If the "early next week" means Monday, November 12, and if it takes several days to ship orders to vendors, unbox, etc., I am guessing the earliest we will see them in stock will be Monday, November 19.

Re: HA7101 1:48th HA7101 Supermarine Spitfire Mk.XIVe (pics)

I just got it and it is gorgeous! The paint job is first class. This is one of my best models. The panel lines are VERY crisp and delicate for a diecast model and the pad printed rivets are exquisitely done. The propeller is metal. The only slight down side to me is that the cockpit is a little sparse in the detail department. But this model is a must have. So far, in my opinion, HM 1/48 sits between C1 and EI as one of the best 1/48 scale models out there. HM, please bring us a 1/48 Airacobra next! Watch out Armour!

I have both heading my way, and want a 1/48th P-39 so bad it isn't funny.

I can take umbrage, I can take the cake, I can take the A-Train, I can take two and call me in the morning, but I cannot take this sitting down. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to take five.
