Re: Pics of new Gitmo USN SNJ-5

Got my SNJ Gitmo and she is a real beaut. HM did a great job on the canopy which is a predominant feature of the plane. Can't really find any flaw other than having to carefully align the wheels so they would track straight- no big deal. Super color scheme as well, practically jumps off the shelf. I'm hoping for some more Navy versions. Sweet model; I recommend it highly.

Re: Pics of new Gitmo USN SNJ-5

An observation...

While I am generally a fan of HM, I am taking notice of some detail omissions with each release that is starting to disappoint and sour me on the product. On this release: 1) the engine looks like my son's most recent plastic $10.00 toy Corsair's engine; it looks like HM took a plastic plug from an old AMT kit and slapped it into the cowling; 2) intake isn't recessed; 3) couldn't those wing lights have been molded clear plastic rather than painted on?; 4) HM continuing its trend of no rivet detail.

On the plus side, the fit on this release sure looks awesome, and the stenciling detail is nice.

Re: Pics of new Gitmo USN SNJ-5

Just got my Gitmo SNJ. This would be a really neat model without the panel lines.

Hobby Master, how about doing another batch sans lines?

Looking forward to the Luke version that is supposed to be much better in this department.
