That last profile is one that I would like.

Yeah... me too, this is my absolute favorite P-36 scheme.

I have always liked the silver P-36 with the Lafayette Sioux' head and would really like to see one done up in Vichey color scheme.

Sorry, I don't know this, can you post something?

Found one more picture in 1939 wargames paint scheme.

Thumbs up Re: How about a Curtiss P-36/Hawk 75 in 1/48th scale

I would certainly buy one, possibly two P-36 if they came out in 1/48. I have never been dissapointed by HM in any of the releases they have made so far.
I would probably go for one USAAF pre-war model in chrome, plus an European WWII one ( either the Finland AF or the Vichy one ).

In any case, a P-36 would not yet be my first choice for HM 1/48 nex release. I would still preffer a Typhoon or a Po-16, or if they decide to go "large", a 1/48 Avenger or Helldiver.

Exclamation Re: How about a Curtiss P-36/Hawk 75 in 1/48th scale

Yeah, I could go for a 1/72nd P-36. Also, even though they would be real small, I'd like to see the Buffalo and the I-16 in 1/72nd...

I believe that they both exist in the IXO line of 1/72. My brother has them in his collection. Overall we know that IXO are not the same quality as HM, but these two precise models you mention ( they have a Finnish Buffalo and Russial Po-16 ) are actually quite OK.

An Avenger and Helldiver would answer my prayers!

Same here. 1/48 Avenger and Helldiver. And then the P-36.

I can take umbrage, I can take the cake, I can take the A-Train, I can take two and call me in the morning, but I cannot take this sitting down. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to take five.

I have been asking for a 1:48 H75/P36 for soooo long...!

I would take at least 2 : A French and a Netherlands East Indies AF one (to keep company to HM's Buffalo...)

I think HM is planning to make a 1:72 SB2C, wait and see...

Re: How about a Curtiss P-36/Hawk 75 in 1/48th scale

I've been longing for a P-36 in diecast for almost as long I longed for a P-40. I would love nothing more than to see this bird done. The Pearl Harbor birds would be a very welcome addition.

Also, didn't Finland fly these in the Russo-Finnish war? That would go great next to my winter Gladiator.

(Apologies if this was mentioned earlier in the thread, but I missed it if it was and anyway, it needs to be said again!)

Anything for a weird life.
