It would really make my year if you make this A-4N Israeli Skyhawk.

Super cool. Hopefully they'll keep the panel lines super light.

Re: HM, please make this Skyhawk

I second that nomination!

I third that nomination! It's such an obvious scheme to do, one would think. But for some reason Israeli schemes don't seem to be all that popular with diecast manufacturers (Witty the exception). Rather strange considering the operational history of the Israeli Air Force.

Look at FM/Armour: plenty of material to work with (F-4, F-15, F-16, and now the Mirage III albeit a poorly rendered one), yet not a single Israeli scheme. Strange indeed...

Let's hope HM won't have the same penchant for ignoring Israel and its Air Force.

I keep suggesting this plane and pass on the request from the forum so hopefully it will be done.

Yeah, I could get excited about that one, too. Love those colors!

I think that this is politics more than anything else. A few years back Toys R Us pulled GI Joe Israeli trooper figure from the shelves in the US fearing backlash. The constant vilifying of Israel no matter what it does in the left wing press around the world made Israeli military liveries a taboo subject for diecast models manufacturers.

Kind of ironic, considering that one can get every conceivable SS political and military figure in 1:6 as well as WWII NKVD dude.

Skyhawks, Mirage IIIs, and Centurions are a must in IDF livery considering their historical importance no matter what side of the fence you are on.

Regards,

Sergey

Sergey, I didn't want to come out and say it, but I think you're on to something which I have been suspecting. That's really a shame...

I do hope HM will follow Witty's course and give us those wonderful, historically significant Israeli liveries. I, for one, do believe they will sell very well (although I admit I have no sales data on how well the Witty Isreali F-16s and F-15s did).

Do you remember a year or 2 ago, FOV came out with a Sherman "Battlin' Bitch" and mothers threw such a fit about the use of such a word on Little Johnnies toy that TRU had to hall them all and send them back to China where they were renamed and sent back for sale.
