Hobby Master A-10A " PEANUT " 917th TFW HA1303

Today i got my HM A-10A ''Peanut'' 917th TFW HA1303 and i'm very happy to see Hobby Master corrected the tail area
of their A-10's.
This is really one fine looking diecast and if you like the A-10 Warthog this is a must have.
Hobby Masters did a outstanding job with A-10A IMHO...Now a little history on this bird here...
This A-10A was tested by the USAF trying to develop better camouflage for Desert Storm
there were only two two experimental camo schemes for this project in 1991.This A-10A was known as
"peanut" because of the brown looking camo and there was another known as "fliper" with a similar gray scheme
Only after the experiment with the two different camo patterns they both were not chosen for use.
Peanut later went back to the usual gray paint scheme we see today and never got the chance to go to Desert Storm.
Anyway here are my pictures and enjoy.

Great pictures Starman, thanks. Does the canopy open on this bird?

When can we expect to see some "typical" paint jobs with the new corrected-tail mold? I'd love some of the current demo planes they use at airshows.

Cool Re: Hobby Master A-10A " PEANUT " 917th TFW HA1303

Very cool Starman! Nice scheme but I would like to see the 5th release before I make a decision. A-10A 81st TFW, 511th TFS,
Bentwaters AFB, England per Hawkone's site.

I hear ya ZS.....I'm getting that one as well the 81st TFW 511th TFS is one of my favorite A-10 squadrons during Desert Storm.
I'm Hoping they will do the A-10's from out of RAF Alconbury as well.
