Re: HobbyMaster Brewster Buffalo

HA7005 and HA7006 Limited Edition Brewster F2A-2 will be the last of this variant. Hobby Master is going to make a new Brewster but they haven't decided for sure which of 2 variants it will be. So if you haven't got an F2A-2 your running out of time. The first release HA7001 with the pre-war yellow wings sold out in 2 weeks and there weren't enough to go around and some countries never received any at all. This happened and the production was greater than 1000 pieces.

Thank you Hawk, that just the information I wanted to know.

Will HM just modify/change the existing mold?

According to the US Distributor - "After the HA7006 & HA7005 U.S. Navy, VF-2, USS Lexington Buffalo's arrive in Jan 08 there will be no more early Buffalos produced.
HM will retool the entire mold & produce later variants of the Buffalo."

This is what was posted on the Florida Forum.

Bummer, that would pretty much rule out any hope of a Buffalo in Finnish markings.

That's what was posted on the other forum but not necessarily completely accurate, patience is required.

Me too. I think there will be lots of disappointed folks IF this is the direction HM goes.

Well at least that provides a little hope. So will show much patience and cross the fingers too.

The final decision about which version to make hasn't been made yet. I sent Hobby Master all the comments I could find about the Finnish version because that is what I found mentioned the most. Now it is up to them to look at all the factors and decide which way to go. I'll post it as soon as I have their answer.
