Re: HobbyMaster Brewster Buffalo

Remember when Ike made the post-war declaration that no swastikas would fly over Europe again? This decision forced the Finns to change their national symbol to a roundel (with the traditional blue/white colors).

I am thinking that Hobby Master must be weighing whether a Finnish Buffalo would be censored; today's PC observer would hardly listen to the point that the Finns were not nazis and had used the swastika as a national symbol for approx. twenty years before the Third Reich adopted the symbol.

That would pretty much make the Finnish Buffalo a no go then. By the time the were using the roundel for national markings, the Brewsters were pretty much out of operational service. It would also leave out the Buffalo paint schemes for the two top scoring Finish aces.

Which is a shame. I need to find my source for the Ike proclamation; I recall several parties tried to explain the national symbol history etc., to no avail.

Re: HobbyMaster Brewster Buffalo

All I can say at this time is what you already know, there won't be any more F2A2s. The March releases are posted so it is only about 3 weeks and the April releases will be out.

Re: HobbyMaster Brewster Buffalo

According to Hawk's site, the two VF-2 F2As were to ship from the U.S. distributor on January 18. Has anyone received shipping confirmation yet?

Have both on pre order, but no taps as far as shipping confirmation goes.

Re: HobbyMaster Brewster Buffalo

Just received shipping notification for the two Lexington Brewster Buffalos and the first HM Me 110. Delivery should be on Monday! That is great way to start off the week. I am also expecting a FM Bf 109F to make it to the door step on either Wednesday or Thursday, it is going to be a good week.
