What happened to the July Spit release?

Hawk...

What happened to the July release for the 1:48 Spitfire? If it isn't on July's schedule, it will be late fall or early winter before collector's will see one up close and personal. It appears the 1:48 Air Power releases for 2007 will be few and far between. Man! I got the 1:48 scale blues, bad! Anyone else feeling like me?

(BTW, despite what the distributor says, the F2A still ain't in stock at my favority retailer; I hate the 1:48 scale blues).

Re: What happened to the July Spit release?

I hear you. I am dying for an A-20, Helldiver, and Avenger in 1/48th. Eagles is already going to do a P-61 and an A-26.

I can take umbrage, I can take the cake, I can take the A-Train, I can take two and call me in the morning, but I cannot take this sitting down. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to take five.

Oh really well when will that be
2008 or 2009 ?
It be worth the wait if it's done right.

I'm going to do a mini "Rip Van Winkle" until about October, when everything that was due out in the Spring, Summer and Fall are finally
released. Then, maybe, I can keep some sanity.

I agree with JP's quote and comment. I must have missed this info and - no offense intended - the Texan delay doesn't exactly lend itself to seeing this as soon to be realized dream.

Alas, since I am now focusing on 1/48 and greater scales I look forward to them if this is the case.

Re: What happened to the July Spit release?

I'm with you guys, waiting for all these "promised" 1/48 models, and waiting and waiting... If at least there were a bit of news about them. But nothing... (what about the EI P-47 Razorback, BTW? I can't get the nice picture of pre-pro model posted by mhackl a while back on this forum, it looked so awesome).

The only good news is my wallet is getting a break for a while. I'm saving the funds for all these future releases. I hope I'm not saving them for nothing.

Maybe we'll see the 1/48th Spitfire (along with the P-61 Black Widow) as a teaser later....

Try again FVD. I just tried and the pics came up.

I am not at all optimistic that we will see EI's T-Bolt this year. I hope I am wrong.

These guys are coming, just a little later than hoped for.

Oops, sorry Elmer, I can see the picture OK. What I meant to say was I couldn't get that picture out of my mind, I keep thinking about it and how bad I want that plane!
