Cool How about this one on the Hobby Master F-104 Mould?

Last edited by ACpilot : 04-29-2008 at 08:56 PM.
Hi there,

I'm fairly new here.

Would anyone else like to see a delivery version Royal Canadian Air Force CF-104 done on the Hobby Master Starfighter mould?

At one time Canada had eight Squadrons of CF-104s based in Europe dedicated to NATO in the Nuclear Strike/Reconnaissance role.

Most definitely. I have 2 HM F-104's the Dutch one and the Mount Olympus Greek one which I am thinking of selling. The next 104 I get will be an RCAF version, might be waiting awhile but with HM, Corgi, and Witty(have yet to see there product) some one should make one.

An absolute must, if HM intends to represent the 104 then it has to represent the scheme seen by more of the Eastern Block than any other. When I was a kid these guys were doing recce flights like it was a trip to the store.
Love to see it again.

I'd like at least three or four of the "standard" RCAF Starfighters. For sure one a shiny metal one, another in metal with red, one in green, and one in green/grey camo. Then there's a few in "show" paint that would garner my attention, like the 441 "Checkerboard", the 439 Tiger meet, and the red 421 Sqn. one.

That would look great in a collection and I would certainly add it to mine.

Thumbs up I did the same suggestion previously !...

The more we are to ask for Canadian aircraft, the more likely we are to get satisfaction.

The particular aircraft I posted (#701) has been rendered with a 1/48 Hasegawa plastic kit as seen here.

1/72 diecast would be a great addition to the collection!

Great looking plane - I'd definitely buy one! How do we get it on the HM consideration list?

Re: How about this one on the Hobby Master F-104 Mould?

I've loved the CF-104 since I was but a wee lad. The camouflaged Starfighters are the ones I remember from when I was a kid back in the early eighties:

Stamp from RCAF 75th Anniversary issue, 1999, depicting CF-104G 104749.
Picture of the actual plane the stamp illustrates, "Starfighter 104749 served with 439 Squadron at CFB Baden Soellingen, West Germany which is where this photograph was taken. Unfortunately '749 fell victim to a hangar fire on 2 March, 1984 and was subsequently struck off strength on 29 August of the same year, just two years prior to the majority of the remainder of the fleet being retired and sold to Turkey." -From http://www.airforce.forces.gc.ca/equ...ghterlst_e.asp
