Re: Would You Like To See Hobby Master Make A P-51D Mustang ?

I sure hope they don't divert ANY resources from 1:72nd for a p-51 1:48. I sure as hell am fighting for space just storing my 1:72nd's and 1/200 fighters

Andrew,
Help me out because your post isn't making sense to me. If you are fighting for space to store your 1:72 and 1:200 fighters, why does it matter to you if HM "diverts" resources from its 1:72 line to produce a 1:48 P-51D? It sounds as if you are "space" maxed, or nearly so anyway.

Cool Re: Would You Like To See Hobby Master Make A P-51D Mustang ?

I checked my hanger roster: It's 4 to 1 in favor of 1:72 v. 1:48 and 1:100. I surely do like the 1:48, but the price of new housing to house the big boys keeps rising faster than my retiremet income.

Re: Would You Like To See Hobby Master Make A P-51D Mustang ?

Personally, I'm a little concerned over the apparent selfishness and 'self-interest' being displayed by some of the 1/72 crowd - look at the bigger picture folks and try and make the pie bigger instead of following a nonsensical 'zero-sum' approach that believes if more 1/48 are produced by HM there will be less 1/72 to go around ... get real!

Much rather see other non produced aircraft 1st.

Be cool to have a 1/48 Scale F-100 or P-61 or Kingfisher or Curtis Helldiver, tons of other ones, I already got tons of P-51D's.

Re: Would You Like To See Hobby Master Make A P-51D Mustang ?

Ummm... isn't this thread / poll about a 1:48 scale P-51D?? Read the first post.

You got me on that, Elmer...I just had not made it down to the first post, and the actual poll does not state ANY scale.

That's OK Cappy!! I'm just trying to keep folks honest and focused on this thread because I am passionate about this; this issue is important to me.

JP... can the title be modified to state "Would you like to see Hobby Master make a 1:48 scale P-51D? I suspect some like Captian Eddie may not have read your first post or not have read it carefully.

Re: Would You Like To See Hobby Master Make A P-51D Mustang ?

, there are plenty of other good models of P-51D in 1:72, 1:18, 1:32, and 1:35 scales.

Trouble is there aren't plenty of good P-51D models out there....Most of them are hideous....

Re: Would You Like To See Hobby Master Make A P-51D Mustang ?

Let me set this straight to help you to understand better...If HM did do a P-51D it would not be this year they are fully booked with other planes for 2007
so this mold would have to come in 2008 and after all their other 1:48 planes are out.
So it would be a ways down the road before we even get a chance to see it........If we ever see it at all that be up to HM.

Well, since you put it that way, I change my answer to 'yes'.
