Re: Would You Like To See Hobby Master Make A P-51D Mustang ?

Yeah I would pick one up. I think it is crazy that there is not a good example of the P-51D in 1/48th scale.

Who said anything about 1:48 scale. I voted no, but if they make one, how about 1:72?

I would hate to have to repalce the ones I have already, but yes in 1/72. I do not collect 1/48 unless it's a WWI type.

Re: Would You Like To See Hobby Master Make A P-51D Mustang ?

How about a "B" or a "C" model? The different canopies and the fact that they saw allied service would give HM some room to work livery-wise. I would LOVE to see one in 332ng FG markings. Anyway, just my two cents.

I don't think I'd buy one in either scale. I like my GMP and have plenty of others from MB, DW, CG etc...

Not for me. Make a Helldiver HM.

Well, NO on that one. I mean, the Eagles International ones are just fine in my book (in fact outstanding, really), the only negatives being the tail wheel which could have been a bit better rendered, and the relatively high price (but worth it considering the quality). So even though, yes, more liveries can be made, this should not be a top priority model for HM. Let them do new aircraft or re-do the ones that were badly done in the past.

I voted 'no'. I was all excited about that Macchi and I-16 we were told about in January. Do those first, then a P51D.

Re: Would You Like To See Hobby Master Make A P-51D Mustang ?

Some how i get a feeling reading this some of the 1:72 collectors came in and voted no and others voted no because they would like to see others that
are on their list made first.
Let me set this straight to help you to understand better...If HM did do a P-51D it would not be this year they are fully booked with other planes for 2007
so this mold would have to come in 2008 and after all their other 1:48 planes are out.
So it would be a ways down the road before we even get a chance to see it........If we ever see it at all that be up to HM.

No. Right now HM is doing a great job filling in white space. Maybe in a few years when the white space has been filled, they can go back and put out some of the standards - besides what are future collectors going to buy?
