How much does HM listen to the customer base?

I'm just curious as to how much they listen to "us."

Is it really worth our time to wish for this and wish for that?

I would buy every single bird they put out, if they would do a Vietnam era line..

Just wondering, if they listen to us, if there are enough of us to get a line going..

Re: How much does HM listen to the customer base?

Maybe the answer would be "yes" if they really did do a Soviet WWII model. I'd buy a copy of each and every WWII Soviet type...but I might just be in the minority, and HM's market research may confirm that. It's for sure none of the big players have had the nerve to offer anything from the Eastern side of the Eastern front!

There is an F-104G coming around the end of October

Don't forget, Hobby Master has only been around for about 6 months so they don't have a ton of models out and they don't have any plans on flooding the market with 6 or 8 1/72 planes a month. They are more interested in releasing a smaller number of models so they can keep control of production and QC. They do listen and I know for a fact that they have a list as long as your arm of planes they are considering and all are taken from collectors lists. They have to try to please the majority of collectors while considering whether or not the model will be a good seller. It takes between 3 - 5 versions of any model just to get their initial investment back so it has to be something with many different paint schemes or versions. If it doesn't meet this production requirement then the odds of it getting made are slim. Hobby Master wants to give us models that are different from the other companies so this is another thing to consider. So you can see there are many things to consider when choosing a model. Hobby Master has a very exciting line up coming but it will just take time for them to be released.

I get the feeling Hobby Master listens more than most other companies. Just a feeling mind you

Re: How much does HM listen to the customer base?

The announcement that they will produce an AT-6 next year seems conclusive proof that they listen. We were discussing the wish for someone to make the Harvard on this very forum, and within a matter of days Hobby Master announce that they will be releasing it. Coincidence? I think not!

How about a new mustang A P-82 Twin Mustang, that would be great. Lots of different schemes and none else making it.

I love HM, they are good quality. And the range that they are coming out with are great, lot of options. Keep em coming HM.

I love HM too but I wish there would be pilots in the plane. Also I wonder why the dauntless has opening windows and not the stuka?
