Re: How much does HM listen to the customer base?

Maybe the answer would be "yes" if they really did do a Soviet WWII model. I'd buy a copy of each and every WWII Soviet type...but I might just be in the minority, and HM's market research may confirm that. It's for sure none of the big players have had the nerve to offer anything from the Eastern side of the Eastern front!

I'm with you on the Soviet WWII stuff Celtic! All I have is the IXO Polikarpov.

I also like the Vietnam era aircraft so I'm looking forward to the F104 & Mig 21 from that theatre.

HM looks to be an exception, but most "toy companies" based in China think that stupid Westerners will buy anything with a Teutonic cross on it. Apparently, this line of thinking produced such mega sales hits like Maus, Jagdtiger, E-100, Sturmtiger, etc.

There are plenty of good looking liveries that could be produced of Soviet WWII aircraft, including Yak-9D flown by Wg Cdr James Storer while CO of 239th Wing 234Sq RAF at Trevisio.

Sergey

How about an F-4E/F? Think of all the possible Air Forces and paint schemes! That's a winner for sure!

While we are at it how abut an F-5 and some more MiGs....

The best black and white pics could be found here: http://www.airwarfareforum.com/viewt...7aa1061fcba46e

I don't know much about the history of this aircraft since the Russian sources claim it was a gift to the RAF during WWII while many Western Sources claim that it either was a plane of Yugoslav Air Force sold to the British Intelligence or the one flown by Bulgarian defector.

It should be noted that during WWII Soviets had a fighter squadron deployed at Bari, Italy, which was flying escorts for transports bringing supplied to Tito's Partizans.

Sergey
