Re: Yepeeeee...!!!

I'll take BOTH ! (of course !...)

If it is as good as HM superb Mig 21 (superior to their F104 in my humble opinion), even you Tundra will find it difficult to resist...!

Dassault is really the Pininfarina of the air, look at these lines !

Any chauvinism apart, few other design have ever matched the breathtaking beauty of the Mirages : Saab J32 Lansen, Grumman F11F Tiger, Convair F106, A5J Vigilante...

Once the photos of the model itself are up, you may be right, my friend!

Re: Hobby Master Mirage 2000c

The existence of desert camouflaged Mirage 2000 in Opsesert Storm (Daguet Operation, in 1991) is undeniable.

http://www.aircraftresourcecenter.co...zo/gal4787.htm

... As long as you can call pictures of a model undeniable evidence the real thing existed. I certainly don't.

I do believe those who say it did, but it would have been an exception, not the rule, for 2000Cs deployed to Desert Storm. I still haven't found a picture of the real thing, but I'll keep looking (I haven't had time to look very hard so far).

The model depicted (in the link) has the same serial (5-OP) as the one I have picures of. There were only 12-14 French Mirage 2000Cs deployed and yes, most retained their gray colour scheme. Perhaps we could have a United Arab Emirates Mirage 2000EAD to go with it, they saw as much action as the French 2000Cs.

Yeah, the UAE 2000s are definitely desert cammo. Wouldn't be a bad livery either...

And you are right, they saw about as much action as the French ones, which is: not a whole lot. The Mirage 2000Cs (and export derivatives) are very limited in range/radius of action and therefore could not go inside Iraq deep enough for escort/sweep missions, even with air refueling. This range deficiency was only corrected with the advent or the -5 version, which allows full air-to-air armament carriage with three external fuel tanks (versus only one on the older 2000Cs).

Re: Hobby Master Mirage 2000c

OK guys, check this picture out....The number is obscured by the ladder, but you can tell it ends in OP, just like the model.

http://users.skynet.be/exotic.planes.../m2000_fr2.jpg

The only problem with the above picture is that it appears to be one solid sand color.

The full website where this picture came from can be found at the following:

http://users.skynet.be/exotic.planes...pictures_9.htm

When you "mouse over" the picture of the Mirage I posted above on the full website, the pop-up text says it is a picture of a "Mirage 2000 during Desert Storm." Definitive evidence? You be the judge

Re: Hobby Master Mirage 2000c

Those won't do. The second picture is just regular 2000Cs in normal cammo, the first is a Mirage 2000N (two-seater tactical nuke version).
