Thumbs up Bush TBM

Last edited by stalag8611 : 04-24-2007 at 12:54 AM. Reason: typo
My Bush TBM Avenger from the Burbank House of Hobbies arrived yesterday morning via USPS Priority Service. It was ordered on 4/19, sent 4/20, and arrived on 4/23. Now, that’s fast service. Contrary to some very negative comments by a frequent contributor to this site, overblown rhetoric IMHO, for a first buyer I found their service excellent. Pricing (Daily Special-40% off), packaging and shipping will bring me back to their shop, and often.

As for the Avenger, it’s still in the box, but the initial eyeball test looks good. I own other HM issues and the TBM doesn’t disappoint.

Re: Bush TBM

I received my Bush Avenger today. Very nice. I think the wash on this model may be the best so far of the HM models I have. Word to the wise: READ PAPPY'S REVIEW at diecastace.com PRIOR to assembly. I read it several times before proceeding with my assembly (although not as recently as today)... and what did I do??? The same thing Pappy did, busted off a rocket fin when applying too much force attempting to push in the back pin. Stupid is as stupid does! Get out your hobby knife and scrape off the darned paint first. You will be glad you did and save yourself some grief.

Re: Bush TBM

And so did I... (I mean break one of the rocket fins. Super glue worked fine).

I got my rocket fins installed and intact so it must be my in-born deft fingers!

Re: Bush TBM

I absolutely broke my rocket fin the day I got my bush Avenger from biggunscollectibles. I am sad I was not alone but will do the super glue thing too.
