First 2 T-6/SNJ pics are up!

Suprised no one has said anything about these on Hawk's site:

http://hobbymastercollector.com/Hobb...indexpage.html

I'm really pumped up for these releases. Such a great airplane, and really under appreciated. All those WWII pilots whose diecast planes we already have, well, most of them all had stick time in one these before they even fired their guns. The SNJ is an awesome pick, I'm totally in love with that choice of paint scheme. There's a few of them flying as warbirds, and I always think what a unique paint scheme on it. Very nice, definitley going to pick that one up. The German one, well, it's cool, but I'll wait for the U.S markings. Can't wait for more!

The SNJ looks cool, but I'll probably pass on the German one. These should go well with my EI issues.

Re: First 2 T-6/SNJ pics are up!

Is it just me or does it seem as if the panel lines are becoming more pronounced? I know these are pre-pro shots but I am concerned the models are drifting to darker and heavier panel lines.

I like them. I will get the Gitmo bird.

I like the Gitmo bird, but I learned my lesson with their SBDs. Wait for the markings you really want. Since I really focus on WWII, I'm waiting for one from then. A Germain SNJ - yeah right! - I'll take a dozen.

Doing what you want is freedom; doing what you like is happiness.

It's not just you. I like the HM molds and aircraft types but the dark lines make me want to wait for a dark blue everything from them! An SNJ would be my choice I guess

It is too bad really because they could become a major player.

I'll get one but a blue one.

Would prefer an Army bird and a stateside NAS Navy bird. Maybe in the future. But I'll have to get one as my grandfather qualified on ( Army air Corps) one.

Re: First 2 T-6/SNJ pics are up!

I going to get one of these for sure It’s one of the few warbirds I have had the pleasure of flying and it will go well with the other 1/72 trainers (Corgi T-45, & Altaya PT-17 )

The panel lines do make this model look more like IXO plane, I hope they are toned down for the final release and that this does not become a trend for Hobby master.

Re: First 2 T-6/SNJ pics are up!

I have no idea if this is close to being an authentic paint scheme, but I really liked it at Reno 2005 (my pic doesn't do it credit). If it is the real deal I think it would make a nice looking model in 1:72.

Otherwise I am looking forward to adding a HM plane to go along with the EI model I am buying.
