Re: Hobbymaster And Corgi Partners ?

The only Predator I want is the Cat Mouth Hellcat in three tone cammo. I wasn't impressed with the HM Vraciu (sp?) example. Nor am I keen on the tail assembly, but could look the other way for the one mentioned above.

Re: Hobbymaster And Corgi Partners ?

What's the big deal with packaging? It's cardboard people! If you're so enamoured of the packaging then pay the extra money for a Corgi model, keep the packaging, and send me the model. As far as HobbyMaster being in cahoots with Corgi, I felt betrayed. Here's this company trying to do things differently and then they sell out to the big guys. What makes HM so unique is that they call their own shots and do things based on our input. A model company that listens to its customers - what a novel idea!

Erm. No.

But I do know what you mean about the packaging and I am sure HM are learning fast.

Yes they are, but no change just yet, they are working on a future package. Also you have to remember that all these changes do cost money and has to be considered in an effort to keep their cost down and in turn the retail cost down.

And when money is really tight, any price break is appreciated! Hawk, thank them for all us collectors who want a quality product, but can't pay through the nose.

If you only knew the reasoning and politics behind this whole thing then you would understand and you wouldn't feel betrayed. I wish I could go into this in more detail but I don't discuss Hobby Master's business dealings or politics, that is up to them.

Likewise. I cannot say too, but guys don't feel betrayed as this has a lot to do with Corgi's own doing. I mean that and like I said before I am also not allowed to say like Hawkonevoodoo.

If you like the Corgi brand and releases then snap them up, if you like the HM's versions then enjoy and sit back for a great ride of releases.

Re: Hobbymaster And Corgi Partners ?

I hope this is false info, I like the Predators a lot, I like the removeable gear and the really nice packaging with the booklet.

Lets hope this is false. Looking forward to the Migs coming.

Flaps

Believe what Hobby Master said, it's not false. If they didn't mean it they wouldn't have said it.

I hear you Hawk. But it's like we see so often in the real world. Someone has a great idea and then they suddenly sell out or "events, politics, or economics" forces them to change. I know it's the way life is, but I don't have to like it. I'm glad HM is doing okay. I like and own most of their products.

Re: Hobbymaster And Corgi Partners ?

I, for one, fully intend to continue supporting HM, especially with their upcoming 1/48 releases . Whatever the circumstances surrounding their apparent reduction of ties with Corgi (if that is indeed the case), I sincerely hope they continue to go from strength to strength as an independent and innovative force in the die-cast market ...

Well all I want to say is the more competition the better it is for the consumer.. Keep up the good work HM.

God Bless America.
