Re: Hobby Master beats Corgi Predators in realism, why IMO

The Dauntless two-tone scheme looks a little too light on the Corgi models, and the Minsi Hellcat blue should be much darker.
There are plenty of colour photographs out there for Corgi to check up on. How do they research their models?

Maybe its my eyesight but has any one else noticed that the starboard wing panneling and the port wing panneling look different I have 3 F-104 Predators and they all appear to have this difference... maybe I have been collecting F-104's for way toooooooo long ..

I feel that the colors on the HM stuff is way better. I was a not impressed with the shade of blue on the Corgi Avenger. I am by no means bashing Corgi though, as I have a large amount of them in my collection as well. Both companies make great stuff. In my opinion, for Hobby Master( a new company) to be up there with Corgi is great for the company and us as collectors.

I can take umbrage, I can take the cake, I can take the A-Train, I can take two and call me in the morning, but I cannot take this sitting down. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to take five.

Exactly there is not really any excuses when it comes to research there are huge numbers of photos on the net also there are plenty of books/magazines with complete colour profiles around.

My personal fave is the "Wings Of Fame" quarterly magazine that was released from 1995 on.(20 Issues)
