Midway Dauntless

I've seen a few pictures of the SBD with dive breaks open. How is this accomplished without destroying them? They appear to be quite fragile and I wasn't thinking of battle damaging the model.
Thanks

Re: Midway Dauntless

The SBD with the dive brakes open is actually sold that way, NOT a modification..

Like hworth18 said they are sold with the brakes in this position.
Hobby Master wanted to have this model displayed with the dive brakes open and the only way to accomplish this was to have them permanently open. The dive brakes are too thin to make them movable.

Question Re: Midway Dauntless

I thought the dive brakes were only open on the Operation Torch one.

It is the Torch version, I just assumed that is the one he really meant. I guess I should have corrected that.
