Thumbs down Anyone have "warped" missiles?

Has anyone looked carefully at the missiles on HM models?
Both the F-104 and the MiG-21 have these very cute warped missiles
I mean, they look like overforced to fit the pylons and as consequence were bent, curved.

I have written to HM but to my dismay, the guy said they did not entertain these complaints, unless "very special occassions" otherwise there would be TOO MANY of these requests, and asked me to go to the retailer for parts!

I think HM grew too quickly. They should also be more confident of their quality control instead of fearing a massive demand of replacement parts!

Re: Nobody got "warped" missiles?

I've checked both my F-104's but their missiles are perfectly straight.
You're right that QC should be taken very seriously by the companies but so far I have no complaints at all about my HM planes (and I wish I could say that about other manufacturers as wel).

Re: Nobody got "warped" missiles?

My missiles are straight. However, the paint job is very careless. The black tips are crroked, extend onto the missle body, and "runny." I was disappointed in that lack of quality on an otherwise superlative model.

Re: Nobody got "warped" missiles?

The missiles on my Mount Olympus 104 are bent. I believe that they are bent from the stand, but could be wrong because the angle of the bend does not match. They are bent in the middle with the tail and nose facing down, I would think that if the stand was causing this they would just be bent at the tail and facing outwards.

Re: Nobody got "warped" missiles?

According to HM, it is an engineering problem, therefore it is not rare for many of their pieces to exhibit the curve...depends on how much force the guys at the factory put when inserting the plastic missile into the plastic pylon's attachment tab.
Now Skunky, is your missile bent upwards or downwards?

In the morning it's usually upwards, but whenever Mrs. 'S' is in the vicinity it's always down....it's the oddest thing....Should I send it back?...
