OK...I give up....

I just bought the Mt. Olympus F-104. How do you get the stand past the missile rack? The fins of the missiles are in the way.

Re: OK...I give up....

Hi Conemaugh: This problem was covered by a few of us in an earlier thread. Check it out at:

F-104 missles

It looks more difficult than it is to fix. Good luck!

Re: OK...I give up....

Conemaugh I had the same problem be very careful. Hawkonevoodoo gave me this advise.
"Take a look at the shots of the plane on its back. When you click on the picture it opens, if you click on the next picture it gets even larger. It should show you how I just put the cradle (the top part of the stand that the model sits on) between the missiles and over the cross brace."

It works but be very careful I ended up breaking one of the missiles off the rack, had to glue it back on. Look at it and you might want to shave the front arm of the cradle down a bit with a sharp hobby knife. If the arm was a little narrower it looks like it would work no problem. Hope it works out.
