AT-6A Texan USAAC Luke Field, 1942 (HA1504)

I just got this little beauty today. I am really impressed with this model. The paint job is great, the natural metal finish is flaw-free on mine. The "greenhouse" is well-represented, crisply painted and fits very nicely. There is some good aircraft background/history on the box window flap, HM is listening to those that place a high value on the packaging it seems. The panel lines appear to be more subtle, providing a nice effect imho. the model has some weight, for being just a little thing. The only thing missing is some exhaust staining on the fuselage, but that's no big deal imo. If you haven't ordered this one yet, do it. This is an excellent representation of a truly history-making aircraft. I will try to post a pic or two if I can remember when I get home from work.

I also saw this in person today and, unlike other new models I saw for the first time, did acquire this bird. The finish is excellent and it is simply a striking representation (for a Plain Jane ).

Clearly, it lacks the depth of detail that the EI models show in 1/48 scale but is still very nice, at a quarter of the cost.

I like this bird and this is the one I want. The only T-6 Texan for me, though some of the other schemes are nice too.

Ditto. I never intended to get a trainer. But the looks and story of this one is sweet. I'll just get this one baby to be representin'.

I felt the same way too SkyBuffalo and this little gem was the one out of the other T-6 Texans I wanted. Just bought it last night at Big Guns Collectibles (Gerry) in Sanford. I did a full report on last nights outting with the group and my purchases in another thread.
