Re: HA1101 Grumman F-6F5 Hellcat "Minsi III"

I like the option of having rockets but are they removable, not all Hellcats were always loaded down with ground pounding munitions. Since this is the mount of the top USN Ace this thing should be clean except for the centerline drop tank.

Yes, the bombs and rockets are removable. However, the drop tank cannot be displayed in the model if it is positioned on the display stand. I really like this model. I'm sorry for being so slow with the pics tonight. It takes forever to unbox, prepare, shoot, disassemble, re-box, and repeat.

So did Minsi III come with a pilot (thought I read this on Hawkone's site)?

It does, and its a very nice one too. For times sake, I have to minimize the "dressing out" of these models when I shoot them. Thats why, in my pictures, you won't see many Migs or Starfighters on their landing gear. If I have time I'll go back and get a shot of him for you.

Dragon's Minsi II has them on both sides, just not as many.. I thought it was weird to have them on both sides of the aircraft???

They more than likely added the ones to the other side as he achieved more victories. This may have been done to boast spirits. Or when it became a CAG bird.

Is there a pic of the pilot anywhere? Is this something HM will include from now on?
