| Finally got a Minsi and I'm very glad I did. The tail seem is unnoticable on the model I received and with all the extras it is well worth the money. I like the pilot as well and hope Hobby Master makes it a regular addition to each release. Looking forward to the Vraciu example. | |||||||||||||

Like I've been saying all along, the camera makes things look a lot better or a lot worse depending on the angle and light and so on. In the pictures you'd swear the gap was about an inch wide. | ||||||||||||||

| Re: HA1101 Grumman F-6F5 Hellcat "Minsi III" I was looking at a real Hellcat the other day, and I have got to say that the panel lines really stick out on the real bird. I think Hobbymaster got that right. | |||||||||||||

| Re: HA1101 Grumman F-6F5 Hellcat "Minsi III" I just received Hobbymaster's Minsi III and Corgi's Same, and have to say HM blows Corgi away on that one. Hobbymaster's Minsi has the rear windows of the real Minsi, a more accurate paint shade, prop markings, and a pilot who actually looks like McCampbell himself. Meanwhile, Corgi's is the wrong shade of blue, and represents a later model -5 Hellcat without rear windows. It also has no pilot figure. If the HM Minsi was put in Corgi's packaging, there'd be a real winner. Instead, I gave my Corgi to a good friend from Alabama, as McCampbell hails from that state. I now have the Minsi III displayed on the Corgi VF-84 Deck Diorama, and have to say, with an open canopy and deck crew, the thing looks ready to go hunting for Zeros. I really wanted some form of diorama to compliment Dragon's Akagi Zero one, which I like to term the last days of peace. This Minsi gives me that opportunity, for a great display commemorating the top scoring USN Ace. Skysurfer808 | |||||||||||||
